Mr. Meehitiya is professionally a financial expert. He was employed initially at a foreign collaborated shipping & freight forwarding company as Finance & Business Development Manager then gained his qualifications in shipping and Logistics to take up the positions as the entrepreneur and a business owner.
He gained impressive experience in the fields of shipping and logistics in prestigious companies in Sri Lanka and overseas for over two decades of his carrier. His experience spans almost all aspects including Liner Agency, NVOCC operations, Tramp Agency, Chartering & Bulk vessel operation, LCL consolidation, International Sea & Air Freight Forwarding, Integrated Logistics, Container Leasing, etc.
At a very young age he got the opportunity to work with internationally recognized shipping and freight forwarding principals such as EverGreen Marine, Transportation Maritime Maxicana (TMM) Tasman Orient Line, New Guinea Pacific Line, Expeditors International, Air Borne Express Corp, Direct container Line, Molax Line, Container Application International, and many other NVOCC companies & vessel owners/Charter companies. From there he was able to expose himself to the transportation industry locally and internationally to strengthen his talents and capabilities to take up challenges in his carrier.
Having overall knowledge and experience in all areas in the maritime sector Mr. Meehitiya has proven with exceptional results bringing new ventures and business ideas to compete with the local and international business environment to recognize as the best to maintain the company's position within the top level in the industry.
